What 3,652 Google reviews say about Tampa Bay wedding venues.
We pulled the public Google listing data for eleven wedding venues couples in the Tampa Bay region tour against each other, including this one, and counted. Star distributions, review volume, and the topics Google surfaces from the reviews themselves. The numbers are below, with the method, so you can check them.

Why we did this
Ratings all look the same. Distributions do not.
Every wedding venue in Florida is rated somewhere between 4.5 and 4.9. That number hides two things a couple actually wants to know: how many people it is based on, and what share of them gave the top score versus the bottom one. A 4.8 from 17 reviews and a 4.8 from 1,400 are different facts. So we pulled the star-count distribution and the review-derived topics for eleven venues and put them in one table.
We are one of the eleven, and we come out well, which is a reason to read the method section before the results. Everything here is public Google data anyone can verify from the listings; nothing is estimated, and the two venues with small samples are flagged rather than dropped.

Google Maps listing data retrieved October 28, 2026 (listing snapshots dated September 11 to 26, 2026). Shares are computed from each listing’s star-count distribution. “Most-mentioned topic” is the review topic Google itself surfaces on the listing, with its count. Venues with fewer than 50 reviews are marked.
Across the eleven venues there are 3,652 Google reviews. The median five-star share among venues with at least 50 reviews is 90.2 percent. The one-star share runs from 0.0 percent to 7.7 percent.
What the numbers say
Four findings.
1. Volume is concentrated. Saxon Manor’s 1,413 reviews are 38.7% of all reviews in the set, about twice the next venue (Spartan Manor, 685, which is also a banquet hall and includes non-wedding events) and three times the Barn at Crescent Lake (477). Review count is a proxy for weddings hosted and for how consistently a venue asks; either way it is the sample size behind the rating.
2. Five-star share separates venues that the headline rating does not. Saxon Manor and Knotted Roots on the Lake both show 4.9. Saxon Manor’s five-star share is 95.3% on 1,413 reviews; Knotted Roots is 91.7 percent on 241. Spartan Manor’s 4.6 is 75.0 percent five-star, with most of the rest at four stars. Mill Pond Estate has the highest five-star share in the set, 96.2 percent, on 53 reviews, which is why the sample size column matters.
3. One-star reviews are rare everywhere, and rarest at the all-inclusive venues. Saxon Manor 0.8%, Knotted Roots 0.4 percent, Bakers Ranch 0.9 percent, Legacy Lane 0.9 percent. The venues above 4 percent one-star (Crescent Lake 4.2, La Hacienda 5.6, Lakeside Ranches 7.7, Cypress Creek 7.1) are a mix of models, so this is a pattern, not a proof.
4. Couples write about the coordinator. The single most-mentioned topic in the whole set is “wedding coordinator” on Saxon Manor’s listing (102 mentions), followed by Bakers Ranch’s “planners” (67) and Crescent Lake’s “wedding coordinator” (65). At the three venues with the most reviews, coordination is the top topic. At the smaller venues the top topics are the property: “beautiful property,” “views,” “old oaks,” “barn.” Couples at venues with a team talk about the team; couples at rental venues talk about the building. “Photographer” appears as a review topic at only two venues, Saxon Manor (41) and Knotted Roots (16), both of which include one.
Method
How the table was built.
Source: each venue’s public Google Maps listing, retrieved through the DataForSEO Business Listings API on October 28, 2026. Fields used: rating, total review count, the five star-count buckets, and the review-topic chips Google displays on the listing with their counts. Shares are the bucket count divided by total reviews. Listing snapshots are dated September 11 to 26, 2026, so live counts may be slightly higher today.
Selection: the eleven venues are the ones named on our own town pages as venues couples in those towns tour, plus the two all-inclusive venues in the region that publish prices. One venue we intended to include, Cross Creek Ranch in Dover, is listed as permanently closed on Google Maps and its 2026 reviews report it ceased operations, so it is excluded. Exclusions and small samples are stated rather than hidden. Knotted Roots on the Lake and Mill Pond Estate are listed at Land O’ Lakes and Seffner addresses respectively. Spartan Manor is a banquet hall as well as a wedding venue, so its reviews include other events.
What this is not: a ranking, a satisfaction survey, or a measure of value. Google reviews skew positive everywhere, venues differ in how actively they ask for them, and a topic count is a count of mentions, not a sentiment score. Read it as what it is: the public record, in one place, with the arithmetic shown. The raw figures are available on request.
Where we land
Our own row, stated plainly.
Saxon Manor: 4.9 on 1,413 Google reviews, 95.3% five-star, 0.8% one-star, top topic “wedding coordinator.” On WeddingWire, 4.8 on 105 reviews with 96 percent of couples recommending; on The Knot, 4.8 on 52. The coordinator is included in every package from booking to the last dance, which is the most likely reason that is the word couples use most. The reviews page has the quotes; What’s Included has the package.
A tour takes about an hour. You’ll see all three venues, the Bridal Suites, and leave with real pricing for your date and guest count — not a brochure.
