Why We Rebuilt Everything

We Replaced Generic Copy With the Details You Actually Need.

The old version of this page made a claim about who can legally marry in Florida that simply wasn’t true. We caught it, pulled it, and used the mistake as a reason to rebuild the entire site rather than patch one paragraph. Saxon Manor Weddings has been hosting weddings in Brooksville for years, and the website should have matched the way we actually run this business: plainly, with real numbers and real answers. So we started over. Every page now reflects what we can verify — pricing, capacities, what’s included, and the legal steps couples need to take at the Hernando County Clerk’s office. If we don’t know a number for certain, it doesn’t go on the page. That’s the standard now, page by page.

The new site is organized around the questions couples actually ask us on the phone, not around what sounds good in a brochure. How much does each room cost, how many guests fit, what happens if it rains, how far in advance should you book — those get their own pages with straight answers. This page exists because the site itself changed, and it’s worth explaining what that means for anyone planning a wedding here. You’ll find the room-by-room pricing on our pricing page, and a full list of what’s covered in every package on the what’s included page. Neither one buries the number you’re looking for under three paragraphs of description. We built it that way on purpose. You shouldn’t have to dig for a dollar figure before you decide whether to call us.

We also rebuilt the section of the site where past couples’ weddings live. Real weddings — actual layouts, actual room setups, actual timelines from days we’ve hosted — sit under one hub, and this page is part of that same story-telling effort. It’s not a placeholder full of stock language about a couple’s big day. It’s an explanation of what changed, written the same way we’d explain it if you asked us in person at a tour. If you want to see photos of the Barn, Garden Room, and BoHo space set up for real weddings, that’s on our real weddings page, and it’s worth a look before you narrow down a room. We add to it after every wedding we host.

None of this is about chasing search rankings or filling pages with keywords. It’s about a family-owned venue that only does weddings — no corporate events, no side business — writing down what we know to be true so a couple in Tampa or Orlando can plan around real numbers instead of guesses. The old copy on this page didn’t do that. It read like it had been generated to fill space, and at least one fact on it was flatly wrong. We’d rather have a shorter page that’s accurate than a long one that isn’t. That’s the whole reason this page exists in its current form, and it’s the standard the rest of the site now has to meet. You can hold us to it.

What Never Changes

The Wedding You Book Is the Wedding You Get.

That line is the whole point of how we price things. The number quoted for the Barn, the Garden Room, or BoHo is the number that shows up on your contract, and it’s the number that covers the day — not a starting figure that grows once you start adding things back in. We built the packages this way because we’ve watched couples get quoted low somewhere else and then spend the next six months finding out what wasn’t included. That’s not how we run this. Ask us for a number and we’ll give you a range, and that range holds up once you sit down and go through it room by room. It doesn’t move once the contract is signed.

Every package, in every room, includes the ceremony and reception, design and coordination, our in-house chefs, bar and event staff, a photographer, a DJ, a tiered cake with a tasting, and an officiant. That list doesn’t change based on which room you book — it’s the same nine things whether you’re planning for 55 guests in BoHo or 150 in the Barn. We spell out exactly what each of those covers on the what’s included page, because ‘all-inclusive’ gets used loosely in this industry and we’d rather be specific than vague. Florals run through our on-site sister company, Enchanted Design & Floral, and get handled as part of the same planning conversation. Nothing on that list is an upsell you discover later.

We’re a family-owned venue, and weddings are the only thing we do — there’s no banquet hall business or corporate event side pulling attention away from your Saturday. That focus shows up in small ways: three-room Bridal Suites for getting ready, a staff that’s run hundreds of ceremonies on this property, and a level of attention that’s hard to fake when a venue is juggling a dozen different event types. When you tour Saxon Manor, you’re seeing the same rooms, the same grounds, and largely the same team that will be here on your wedding day. That consistency is part of why couples come back to refer friends and family members years later. It’s a small operation by design. We think that’s an advantage, not a limitation.

The legal side of getting married in Florida is separate from anything we control, and we’d rather send you to the source than guess. The Hernando County Clerk’s office handles marriage licenses, and the requirements — cost, waiting period, what qualifies as valid ID — are laid out clearly on our legal requirements page. We keep that information current because a couple planning a wedding shouldn’t have to cross-reference three different websites to figure out whether they’re eligible to marry in this state, or what a course discount actually saves them. That page exists specifically so this one doesn’t have to guess at details that belong to a courthouse, not a venue. Go there for the specifics; come back here for the rest.

Booking Two Years Ahead

We’re Booking Two Years Out, So the Site Had to Keep Up.

We’re currently booking weddings for 2027 and 2028. That’s not a marketing line — it’s how far out our calendar actually runs right now, and it’s part of why the new site needed clearer information architecture than the old one had. A couple planning eighteen months ahead needs different things than one planning for next season: clear pricing up front, a straightforward way to compare rooms, and enough detail to make a decision without six phone calls just to get basic numbers. The old site made you dig or call to find things that should have been on the page from the start. We fixed that, section by section, starting with the pages that get the most traffic from couples in the early planning stage.

Location hasn’t changed, obviously, but we made sure it’s easy to find on the new site too. Saxon Manor sits at 103 S Saxon Ave in Brooksville, Florida — about 45 minutes from Tampa and 90 minutes from Orlando, which puts us in reach of both metro areas without putting a wedding in the middle of either one’s traffic. That distance matters for guest lists that pull from both cities, and it’s one of the practical questions we get asked early in a planning conversation, right alongside pricing and capacity. If you’re mapping out a wedding weekend and need to know how guests will get here, that’s a conversation worth having with us directly at 813-909-3414. We answer that phone ourselves.

The best way to judge any of this is still to see it in person. Touring lets you stand in the Barn or the Garden Room and get a sense of scale that no photo gallery fully captures, and it’s where the pricing conversation gets concrete instead of hypothetical. We schedule tours regularly, and the tour page on the new site walks through what to expect and how to book one. Between now and then, the gallery gives you a reasonable sense of what each space looks like set up for an actual wedding, not a rendering or a stock photo standing in for the real thing. Seeing it tends to answer more questions than reading about it does. That’s true of most venues, honestly.

None of this replaces a conversation with an actual person, which is still the fastest way to get a straight answer about your date, your guest count, and your budget. Google rates us 4.9 across 1,404 reviews, which we’re proud of, but a rating doesn’t tell you whether a Tuesday in October next year is open or whether your 130-person guest list fits better in the Barn or the Garden Room. Call the number on this page, or use the contact form, and someone who actually works here will walk you through it. The new website is meant to get you most of the way to a decision — the rest still happens over the phone or in a tour.

Where to Go Next

Here’s What to Look at Next If You Haven’t Chosen a Room.

If you already know roughly how many guests you’re inviting, that narrows things fast. Up to 55 guests fits comfortably in BoHo, and its price range also covers rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and brunches if you want to use the space for more than one event that weekend. Guest lists up to 150 fit either the The Barn or the Garden Room, and the choice between those two usually comes down to look and feel rather than logistics — one leans rustic, the other leans more open and green. Either way, the price range for both sits in the same bracket, so budget isn’t the deciding factor between them. Capacity and style should drive that decision, not cost. We’ll walk you through both if you’re still torn.

If you’re comparing us against other venues that quote a lower number up front, it’s worth reading about the difference between all-inclusive and a-la-carte pricing before you commit to anything. We wrote a page on exactly that comparison — all-inclusive versus a-la-carte — because the venues that look cheaper on a flyer often end up costing more once florals, catering, staffing, and a coordinator get added back in piece by piece. Our range already includes all of that. It’s a wider range than a bare venue rental would show you, but it’s also the actual final number in the vast majority of cases, not a floor that a couple ends up building on top of. Read it before you compare quotes side by side.

Questions that come up after the pricing and capacity conversation — dietary restrictions, rain plans, parking for a large guest list, how early to book — mostly have their own answers already written down. Our FAQ page collects the most common ones in one place instead of scattering them across blog posts you’d have to dig through individually. If your question is specific to Saxon Manor rather than something generic about weddings in general, that’s the page to check first. And if it’s not answered there, that’s exactly what the phone number at the top of this page is for — we’d rather answer it directly than have you guess. That’s a deliberate choice, not an oversight. Most answers are one page away now.

The point of unveiling a new website isn’t the website itself — it’s what it lets a couple do faster. Fewer calls to find a number that should already be posted. Fewer guesses about what’s covered and what isn’t. A clearer sense of whether a Tuesday in spring 2027 is even realistic before you fall in love with a room that’s already booked that weekend. We built this page, and the rest of the site around it, so that planning starts the moment you land here rather than after three follow-up emails. If it still leaves something out, tell us. That’s how the next version gets built too. This page will keep getting rewritten as our packages, our rooms, and our answers change.
